COLLEGE PARK, MD (July 9, 2018) – Mid-Atlantic Crossroads (MAX) announces the addition of Jean-Robert Barallon to the leadership team as Director of Business Development, Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Jean-Robert will champion business development and marketing for MAX. Jean-Robert will work closely with MAX participants to identify, assess and fulfill their advanced cyberinfrastructure needs, and collaborate with technology partners to build relationships.

Jean-Robert has over 40 years of experience in the global telecom industry in sales and marketing, business development, sales operations, mergers and acquisitions, and teleport and data center management. Prior to his appointment at MAX, Jean-Robert was the Assistant Director of Infrastructure Services Engineering at UMD where he provided the leadership, vision and planning for the engineering activities of Enterprise Networking and Telecommunications for UMD. Before joining UMD, Jean-Robert held multiple senior level positions in the global telecom industry.

“Jean-Robert’s comprehensive background in business development and global telecom will be an asset to MAX participants,” said Tripti Sinha, Assistant Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. “In addition, he will play a critical role in forecasting customer needs.”
