MARC is a community cloud where participants share/contribute infrastructure and share the benefits of cloud computing. Current MARC participants include:

- NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
Current Cloud Services: Platform as a Service
- Deliver a computing platform and/or solution stack as a service
- Similar to what Google and Amazon offer
- Delivers computer infrastructure (virtualized platform) as a service
- Buy/Lease compute, servers, software, storage, etc.
- Deploy applications without the cost and complexity of buying and managing the underlying hardware and software
